Arrow Review: Kaixen Hid Kit

Hello fellow RA owners. I just purchased a set of KAIXEN HIDs 6000K. I am going to make this the offical review thread for this. I have searched and not found anything about this specific kit - I purchased them from "autodoodad" for $300.00 SHIPPED! Normal price is $350.00 + shipping. My first buy from this vendor and I am hoping it is good. YES I will take pictures as soon as I get them installed, and pics for the kit before installation. If anyone has these please post up comments or questions for me. Personally, I have heard nothing but great things about this company (Kaixen) and am looking forward to the install! They will be installed in my OEM lamp housings. Check back for updates.

Interesting - I hope your bulbs weren't re-based because they won't last.

I thought the install was straight forward, how come they wouldn't fit and how did you get them to fit?

Did you guys buy the 6K? I can't decide between 5K and 6K...

I bought the 6000K - I'm looking for performance more than color. At 6000K the Crystal White is brilliant white with blue hue depending upon the angle. Regardless people will be able to tell they are HID's and not those cheap a$$ white bulbs. The higher the K (temp) the more color, but less light out put. Plus I think the extreme colors are kinda ricy...

Nah I want exactly that, just a slight blue hue...I was thinking about going for the 5000K cause they are brighter but I might take your word on the 6000K.

Did you have the same problem as Achilles did with the bulbs not fitting?

For my hid it wasnt that the bulb didnt fit, it was the power adapter and wiring that woulndt fit through the cover plate that locks our bulbs in place. Not sure if im explaining this right.

the watertight lock that pushes in and turns to hold the bulb in place...what did you do to fix this? my kit should be here tomorrow! yikes!

What i did actually was kinda ghetto but it worked. I just used electrical tape instead and left off the cover. Checked for the past 4 days and its still tight no condensation and no sign of movement. Im pretty sure you could disconnect the power adapter from the wire itself, insert it through the cover then reattach it again but i didnt realize this till it was all done so i said forget it.

Can you post some wall shots? Just so we can get an idea of how the light spread is I've heard that the stock lamps push light all over the place blinding drivers ect...
