WORKS short-shifter and shifter base bushings installed (Evo X)

Got a new shift knob from WORKS today, it's their Grab knob:
The guys over at WORKS suggested I give it a try since I previously mentioned wanting a heavier knob. It's a bit lower and heavier than the optional aluminum Mitsu knob I had, plus it uses a stiffer threaded plastic core so it added a bit more preciseness to the action. It is also more comfortable in my hand since its a sphere. This knob is definitely a keeper; made a great setup even better. I honestly can't see ever making any changes to my shifter/tranny setup other than annual fluid changes to keep things fresh.

Thanks for the review Kracka. I installed the shifter base bushings this morning and now I'm moving on to the underhood shifter cable bushings. Did you remove anything in addition to the stock intake to gain access to the underhood bushings?
The Works instructions indicate this, along with loosening the engine control harness bracket, however there are no instructions for this. I'm searching for a how to on this, unless it really is a no brainer.

I installed the WORKS cable and console bushings as well, no short shifter for now but I'm thinking about it. Now the gearbox has a nice "tha-thunk" precise feeling (not sound, but the feeling, hard to describe). Thanks for the review and the help Kracka.
