Upgrades Done to my EVO IX at AWD Motorsports

I posted this in the dyno section as well with a dyno gragh and a few photos, but thought it should be posted here as well for a review of AWD Motorsports.
I’m impressed and it takes a lot for a shop to impress me. In two days, AWD installed the below list of parts and tuned my EVO IX. First, this is not a commercial, but I have to give credit to these guys for a great job. No shop is perfect, but AWD did it right for me. I live two hours away from their shop and decided to just hang-out there during the install – hoping to maybe learn something. The wait wasn’t bad with my laptop, access to email and being around some very fast cars. Plus they have a comfortable couch in the waiting area. I had already installed a 3.5” FMIC, upper and lower piping, 3” TBE, Walbro 255, MBC and boost gauge and was anxious to take it to the next level.
AWD installed: FP Black (ported & coated)/ Megan O2 housing/ Kelford 272s/FP intake pipe/Forge RS BOV/1000cc injectors/ported & coated the stock exhaust manifold/ARP head studs/ACT HDSS clutch.
I am now broke but that is beside the point. Two days seemed reasonable for the list of mods I was after, but during the course of installs, a water pump, timing belt and EGR blockoff were added to the list. This was a lot of work! I have to thank Mike and his crew for pulling this off. Shawn is one of the nicest guys you will meet and gave me updates all along. Herman worked two days straight (including an all-nighter) to complete the install. That’s 36 hours straight through! I cannot believe he did that. The install understandably ran a few hours past schedule and Derek had to wait around until it was ready for his hands. Despite the wait, he was very friendly and did a great job tuning it. That’s customer service! To be honest, I was hoping for a few more HP, but it seems the stock throttle body and intake manifold are choking it a bit. Better gas would help as well. The intake will be my next step, that and an E85 if it ever comes to my part of Florida.

Thanks again Mike for your efforts.

Yes, it is fun to drive. Now I am wondering what it will do in the 1/4 mile.

I'm hoping to visit y'all soon with some parts to be installed. I've seen a lot of people that love your shop and I've watched videos of evo's coming out of your shop and I'm nothing but impressed!

The IM and TB are restrictive on FP Black and this power level.. We have seen 20+whp back to back even on IX turbos at 430whp when going to BR ported parts..
