legitimate GM "synchromesh". Worth it?
Hi all, I have a buddy at a GM dealer locally and someone backed out on their order of synchromesh. I picked it up for 60 bucks for 6 quarts. Do I just dump the goodness in or do I use a base gl-4, and synchromesh as an additive? Appreciate feedback as I'm due for yet another trans fluid exchange and have a messy 2nd gear. Hoping synchromesh will help me get another 80,000 miles lol.

I used to be tech at a local GM dealer here back in the day and i used to use it in my trans as well. You did good to get it that cheap man. I believe at the time it was something around 16 a qt what we were selling it for. Just pour it straight in. I loved the way it shifted over anything I have used in my own car but it needed changing earlier than almost everything as well.
