I'm running a stock EVO IX gearbox. BUT, I'm also running an HTA Green with meth. So far so good.
Thanks for the great review. I was debating on this clutch, but after reading this, I will definitely get it. I'm getting the race one and my main question is, do I need a dog box to fully enjoy this clutch? Is my buswacker trans strong enough to handle the abuse I am about to give it?

I have no problems but I also do not drive my evo in the winter.

hehehe great review...I agree with most everything youve said. I guess im one of those whinners!! I like the clutch, I came from an exedy triple that lost the clip and left me stranded. Also locked me out of 5th all the time. I got this clutch for the hyd bearing. At the beginning it was incredibly quiet! As time progressed it got louder. And I will say I didnt mind it. I didnt care that it howled during soft take offs and during slow shifts, because that ****er grabs and it doesnt let go!!! But what I did NOT like was the outrageous deceleration rattle that is incredibly loud. Most people think my car is about to destroy itself. I dont know if this rattle can be detrimental to the engine or transmission since its has really bad harmonics. But its been around 7k miles and nothing has happened yet. I originally ordered with the race flywheel but after a couple of months of horrible daily driving I changed the flywheel to the street use for better engagement. OVerall I like it, wished I could find the same clutch/features but without the deceleration chatter.
