Sean@Iveytune Dec 5, 2005 07:23 PM

Iveytune at your service man, nice to be able to get you what you wanted on the dyno.
Hope to work with you more in the future and really appreciate your business.
There is more HP in that car, 22-23 psi max on pump right now.

I have the sheets will put up the before/after or I will email them to you and you can post them up.

Sean

Looks like they use a Dynojet; from a post on their website ;) Curious about the baseline run

Sean@Iveytune Dec 6, 2005 06:34 AM

it did 291 and 222 ftlb stock with the parts bolted on. I actually think the tune was somewhat messed up by just bolting the parts on. I am also not a big fan of the K&N Typhoon intake.
Yes 93 octane.
Dynojet also.

awesome!

Sean, any idea what's up with the torque? Having 50 less peak torque than peak HP is indicative of an S-AFC tune where the AFRs are lean in the peak torque range, which causes the timing to dip to 0. Normally, flashed Evos have peak torque HIGHER THAN or EQUAL to peak HP. The untuned numbers indicate an issue of some sort that carried over to the tuned numbers, though not quite as drastic (-50 vs -70).

1slowevo Dec 6, 2005 10:02 AM

those are some great numbers, i still cant believe these IX's how well they are responding.

I am glad I waited and bought my EVO IX.

Sean@Iveytune Dec 6, 2005 10:33 AM

Warrtalon it came in with lower torque as delivered. I have a few ideas and will be looking into them with the owner in the near future stay tuned.
Notice how it carries the torque though, it doesn't peak and fall off rapidly, nice and flat, car felt great on the street.

Maybe the Hp is just high and the torque isn't low

Sean

the car deff feels great on the street well we will just have to see on the next tune

Yeah, I noticed it was way off from the beginning and noticed how the torque curve was flat, but that's exactly how my dynographs look when tuned with just the S-AFC. I get no big torque spike, and then it just stays level almost all the way across, whereas a flashed dynograph usually has a large torque bump in the 3500-4000rpm range, and then it drops more sharply than my curve (and this one), but they end up meeting at the same spot near the end. The benefit of the flashed one is that there is a lot more mid-range/low-end grunt and much more area under the curve.

I look forward to your findings on this matter. Keep us posted. I personally think the 330whp is going to be the norm for IXs with bolt-ons and no cams...they are really that strong.

Sean@Iveytune Dec 6, 2005 11:31 AM

We will have to see.

Sean

Sean@Iveytune Dec 6, 2005 11:38 AM

Do you have a dyno sheet of your car making 330 wheel with the safc?

I am at a loss as to why there is all this pontification the car made what it made, it exceeded the owners and my own expectations, we will have to see how it goes when there are a few changes made.

Sean

Silver05Bullet Dec 6, 2005 12:09 PM

GOod job Coup COme out to DD lets do that damn thing son

QuickSilverDS Dec 6, 2005 12:24 PM

Nice Joe! Wish I had the cash like you! Take that car to ATCO after you get the fuel pump, intake and retune. That car should be flying with the mods that it has!

rjsdxm Dec 6, 2005 01:06 PM

thanks cris

subwrxkid Dec 6, 2005 01:09 PM

ErroR Dec 9, 2005 07:52 PM

Get rid of the typhoon intake. That thing is the worst intake produced.

Johnny Boy Dec 9, 2005 08:50 PM
