two mods not as described ams UCIP and Perrin Antenna (see pics)
 

I bought the 2" shorty antenna from maperformance.com
item arrived looked like this :

is there 2 different 2" shorty antennas from Perrin or did they send me the wrong one did not try to fit it on the car yet or open the packaging

Purchased AMS UICP in black looks like this :

do they ship the uicp with the ams logo? bought from dan @ams directly.

Hm, I don't know that I've seen the AMS UICP without their logo welded on, that's odd.

If you ordered the Evo X shorty antenna, you received the correct one (here's the product link on their website: http://www.perrinperformance.com/pro...ry=34&model=26) I bought their 4" shorty and it's straight all the way, rather than having that flare at the base. I think that picture you posted is for the Evos 8/9, which will leave a slight gap on the X. The one you received should fit perfectly with no gap.

Thats the AMS cold air intake.

We changed the design of the UICP a while ago. It looks like that picture you have is from Vivid Racing according to the code, they have an old picture.... you said you bought it direct from us?

I got the UICP and it did not have the AMS logo on it. I thought that was normal.:crap:

In the picture the OP posted, I see in addition to the UICP...a pipe for the MAF, a heat shield, and a K&N air filter (all parts of a CAI).

if you bought it from AMS, why would you think its an AMS knockoff?
