Is a pattern starting here ??
I was going to post something along the same lines earlier but didn't, if it is just a spun bearing then turn the crank and drop some good forged bits and pieces in there, thats where I am at.

umiami80, your post is boring and is waste of time. Leave this case between them you have no clue what happened.
Nope... My opinion is just as good as yours, I will continue to post in a civil matter.
you knew Shiv, you'd know he wouldn't sell out for a couple of hundred bucks. To ask him to pay for someone elses boneheaded mistake defies logic.
At what point does the customer take responsibility?
Looks like you've been on the receiving end of that avatar for too long
Nice to know that I am getting to you and the fact that you need to resort to cheap shots when you poor logic can’t get it done, good for you.
you are in no way, shape, or form involved in this altercation/incident...yet you keep on mudslinging...i see no need for it
EVERYONE KNOWS YOUR POSITION ON THIS...so please keep it to yourself and let Shiv and his customers deal with
as far as waivers go...I have had my car dyno'd at a shop in Raliegh (not even tuned, just dyno'd) and I was required to sign a damage waiver...
whether you think it is right or wrong, you are not involved...so stop with the blind assumptions about the situation and let the parties involved sort it out
A tuner makes more power for customers. He gets paid for his products which gives us those stupid **** grins we get when we drive.
I thought it was obvious when you install mods you make your engine work harder and its a risk we all take.
Everything comes with a disclaimer tag in life either you read it or you break **** and learn. This seems to be one of these lessons.
Either way Mark I don't know what happened in this situation and you could have been screwed or you could be trying to screw Vishnu, but best of luck with the motor.
For Vishnu this is a sloppy situation but next time buy a mini dv camera and get this stuff on tape.

Of course I am involved, we are all involved now, otherwise you wouldn't be talking about it. We are the customers and the users. A customer has had a problem and is looking for help, why don’t we help solve this problem so both sides are happy. I don’t like watching a vender completely close the door on a customer; I only ask that you put yourself in his shoes.
As long as people keep posting negatives on my part, I will continue posting on side, sorry, just learn to deal with it I guess.
Waivers are for people afraid to take responsibility for their actions; I have never signed one, never will. And if your car blew, I bet you would be whining too, and that "Tuner" would be hiding behind that piece of paper to cover his mistakes with YOUR car, not good business. BTW No waiver can cover negligence.
Oh you mean one side completely blaming the otherside and refusing ANY help, ok

I am not flaming or getting angry...but I will stick by my words and let Shiv and his customer figure the situation out
please stop making ASSumptions about me or the people involved in this...just let it go...whether you like it or not, you are NOT involved in this and your long winded rants are doing nothing to better the situation...so just stop already...sheesh
umiami80,
Do you realize that everyone left the thread and you keep babling on by yourself? What makes me wonder here is that you have no idea what happened but you draw your opinion as a fact.

Umiami80, you have crystallized the very essence of the difference of opinion here. Whether or not this is actuallly in dispute between Shiv and MGBSTI is lost on me at this point. However, what I hear you saying is "regardless of how stupid my request may seem to you, the professional, I still expect you to protect me from myself".
I'm sorry, but here in the USA, we at least like to pretend that we live in a free society. Free to choose our own actions and to face the resulting consequences. This means that unless someone misrepresented the consequences, you're on your own. Warning labels and education work, prohibition doesn't.
Was the "wool pulled over someone's eyes" with regard to the consequences of a aggressive tune? Or was there some presumption of shared risk should some sort of failure occur? I suspect the latter. Whether or not Shiv should have done the tune should not be in dispute, although I think we all know what his policy will be going forward.

Before he died some years back, Loyd Burr, one of the civil engineers who worked on Shasta Dam, used to tell me "A fool can argue a wise man to death."
May this thread rest in peace... Have a great Christmas everyone.....
