Its about 85 degrees today so its definitely not ideal weather for a turbo car, but the car feels totally different. The car is smooth, plain and simple. We all think our stage 1++'s are great, and dont get me wrong they are, but you have to drive an active timing car to understand why its better and faster. From what i felt, it seems the car will always perform at the optimal possible level for any given condition. Its like having a different map for every day of the year. the car feels vicious, and it only put down 278. Transient boost response and partial boost response is the biggest change. Dustin has the forge bov and most of them have tremendous compressor surge issues at partial throttle. I tried and tried to get the car to buck like my car under partial throttle but it was almost entirely tame. Im gonna make shivladen put this on my car next week.. and see what a 300 whp 91 map feels like with the active timing system on it.

It's good times in V land. Asitha, pm me you cell #.

And the STI deserves it....Its cool, I guess I'll have to "settle" with "only" a custom tune.

Thanks again, and I hope it works just as well, if not better for the STI's.

so are you guys going to offer a new and improved stage sub zero with all this then?

have you tried this out on a completely stock evo yet to see how much of a difference it makes?

As it stands, I don't think you can. You need to install their downpipe (or some other down pipe) in order to fit the wideband 02 sensor.

EDIT: Um, I just noticed that the v330 package includes a downpipe and high flow cat, but apparantly doesn't have the rest of the exhaust. Is that a mistake or do you really recommend that people do that?

yeah, I guess it would be a new and improved "stage zero", sorry.

but still... would love to hear how the bare necessities to get this running on a stock evo would perform. would it make much difference?

This should work on a stock exhaust, all you have to do is weld an extra O2 bung onto the dp right in front of the cat.

yep. all you need is to weld in a bung for the wide band. Shiv is makin another piece as well that will be required.. but otherwise it doesnt require much more than that.

What about 150+ posts and 6k+ views in one day?

I have a AEM UEGO wideband controller, is this good enough for a wideband, or do I need to buy another one? Also I am installing 280 cams/TME turbo/AMS alky injection in 2 weeks, do I have to send the "boxes" in for re-flash, get it dynoed? or get this active controll stuff installed? is is send in or DIY? Dont leave the computer/electronic illiterate people hanging, I'm still on placemat and crayons, and need someone to help me thru this! When is this available? Today? 1 week? 1+ month? is the midwest Dyno-day done now? need answers and help please!!!!!!!

Just in case you were serious about that question...

And the jurys out about the increased ramp in noise at the extreme upper RPM range.

And my questions... I have a custom 93 Octane map and 100 octane map. Will this new hardware automatically make my maps adaptive, or do I need to send you the map files for some changes? Also, do I even need 2 maps anymore? Or should I just run the 93 map all the time and the XEDE will adapt for the race gas when I put it in?

I have been a Vishnu fan from the day I purchased my Evo in March 2003 and participated in the 93 Octane Xede map development sessions shortly thereafter when Shiv first came to the East coast. I too am very stoked about this exciting new development but have a few questions.

Most importantly, when will it really be available for those of us that do not live conveniently close to your shop to be test mules? No offense, but historically your new product announcements have routinely been followed by months of delays prior to public release if they are ever released at all. Remember original announcements for v3, Stage 2, rear sway bar, etc.... I understand the rationale for delays and I'm just trying to put this new development into perspective.

Finally, how much will it cost to upgrade existing Xede? Please provide pricing both with and without wideband sensor (assuming the AEM UEGO is compatible).

As always... waiting patiently to upgrade.
