p0300 dealer flash is messing things up
Hey guys, i need some help. the predicament i am currently in is kind of stupid. I have an 03 evo8, that i put gsc cams in 272/264, 3 inch turbo back exhaust, no cat, perrin test pipe, walbro fuel pump, fidanza cam gears, stock air box and filter, and the VISHNU XEDE setup. i recently ran a 12.7 at the track, but i need to get an XEDE FLASH to the ecu to bring up my midrange boost levels and raise my rev limit. i sent in my ecu to shiv at vishnu and he said that he cant flash it because there was a dealer flash that was done on it for a p0300 random misfire issue. My question is how can i go back and revert the ecu back to before that dealer flash was done? i hate to buy a new ecu. i talked to a couple people and they say Al at dynoflash can do it. but for some reason i dont trust it. if shiv couldnt do it, why would he be able to. i need some direction. can the dealer set this ecu back? i dont see a flash like that being permanent.

I doubt Al can flash the ECU now that you have the dealer fix flash that did not fix a thing...
your options are:
1) Purchase a new ECU...around $800-$1000
2) Find someone with an 03 that never is likely to flash the ECU...meet them at the dealership with both cars present and swap ECU's allowing the dealer to enable key codes....this is messy, but an option
3) Install larger injectors and custom tune Xede to alow MAF to move away from the fuel cut voltage range
