cant you just download a zero plus map for V2, and manually go through the maps and edit your current maps to look like stage 0+ for V2? He seems to pull more fuel out of the 05 maps then the 03-04 V3 maps so if anything you might be safer.

I think Vishnu is very busy......

The V2 05 maps are not downloadable. The link to the files are missing.

Someone on here must have the map that they can email me.

Thanks....BUT....That is identical to the stage 1 map. That is not a stage zero plus map.

Shiv posted somewhere else that the '05 has a native tune that is more lean than the 03/04 cars, as well as more aggressive timing. Thus using the 03/04 maps on the surface doesn't make sense.

Jeff do you have a wideband? To date the most current '03/'04 stage 1 smart map has been running on my car in the mid to high 10's AFR (5000 - 7000 rpm) which really should be ok. I would have to assume that Shiv did the same for the '05.

I dont have a wideband but did test with one earlier in the year. With the stage 0+ 03/04 maps I ran an almost rock solid 11:1 AFR with -8% fuel up top. The stage 1 maps posted above are pulling -16% fuel which cannot be safe.

This is why I want the 2005 Stage 0 plus maps instead of the stage one that everyone keeps posting.

Someone must have a stage ZERO PLUS map.

take a look at his site and what comes with each stage. the stage one maps include the upgraded fuel pump. that is why they pull so much more fuel! i am not sure if the zero plus stage comes with the upgraded pump; but if the stage one is pulling a lot more fuel in the maps then the zero plus maps then i guess it doesnt. just use the 03/04 zero plus maps since they pull less fuel out of the maps then the 05 maps; and if you want to be extra safe just add a little more fuel in there for good measure.

I swapped back / forth between the stock pump and a Walbro 255. The measured AFR while richer for the Walbro was not that much greater. The Evo's fuel pressure regulator and variable voltage seems to hold to the designed pressure.

On these points you will find that Shiv has commented in the past with similar statements related to AFR, tune and regulator.

freedom I am just giving him reasons why the stage one map pulls more fuel. Jeff I would just wait until you got access to a wideband so you can get your AFR were you want it; also if your just looking to lean the AFR out a little more wouldnt it be safer just to stick the with the map you have now since the weather is getting colder (I am assuming you checked the AFR of your car during warmer summer weather).

What I want is the correct map for the the configuration I have. That shouldn't be too much to ask for.

The stage one maps are not safe for a stage zero car. You maybe able to get away with it for awhile but odds are bad things are happening behind the scenes. It only takes one tank of bad gas to trash a motor running on the bleeding edge of AFR.

In the DSM world adding a fuel would overdrive the stock fuel pressure regulator and cause a rich condition because fuel pressure went up. The EVO doesn't have this problem. I've done countless hours of research on this topic. My overall take on it is this....The stock EVO fuel system is plenty good for maxing out the stock turbo and injectors. People buy them because they are "good insurance" for less than $100. Odds are its a wasted $100. Furthermore if you add one you certainly dont need the high pressure one because the IDC changes not the fuel pressure. The tune shouldn't change when adding a hiflow pump.

I get that the 05's had a leaner tune from the factory. They also flow more air. So why wouldn't the 03/04 maps have the more aggressive piggyback maps? You would think with more airflow more timing and less fuel from the start.....the 05 maps would need to be more conservative than the previous years.

In the end it looks like I'll be purchasing a wideband in the near future.
