Boost Pill Question
Boost Pill Question
I have a custom flash from Shiv
And when I switched back to my stock airbox to clean my ARC
I noticed that my boost would fall from 20psi to 11. I thought I had
A leak but it turns out it was the boost pill Shiv removed when he tuned my car.
With my ARC back on it runs fine.
Well I decided on getting a boost controller (either a MBC or the Greddy Type S, I like the simplicity of it and how it performs) And I read that when using a boost controller that its better to have the restictor pill installed.
My friend who runs a Greddy Type S boost controller has the pill intact, no flash, and it holds a solid 22 psi with very little taper.
Do you guys recommend reinstalling the pill for a boost controller? (I think Shiv threw mine away
) Or do you think it will be fine with the pill removed?

Will be fine with the pill removed. The pill is there for the stock boost controller. If you run a manual or external boost controller you don't need the pill.
