What does Shiv think of the FP EvoGreen?
The reviews are already out there...I would like to hear Andrew at Dyno4mance wade in with his opinion instead of the "Andrew said..."

To be honest after looking at all the dyno graphs I am not too impressed with FPGreen turbo in PUMP GAS but on race gas it shows very nice gains.
Just some of the things I see, the guy that made 324whp at Dyno4mance is not that impressive because my car made 305whp on a DynoDynamics which is an Evo 8 with HKS 264 cams and all the bolt-ons. Now you figure, if I bolt-on an Evo 9 turbo with HKS 272 cams I would make the same number if not more. Also just over weekend THE SHOP in CT which has DynoDynamics, an Evo 9 with basic bolt-ons (no cams) and tuned with Ecutek by TurboTrix made 320whp(At turbotrix on a dynojet it made about 360). So as far as my observations go so far, this turbo is not worth the $1700 IF you are going only run it on PUMP gas. Just my opinion. Happy Holidays

Do what you want with your money...I do not sell the FP Green or profit from posting up my findings
From what I have found through 5 hours of tuning is that this turbo is by far the best stock configuation turbo out there since the evo was released in this country
in 2003
FYI It was reported on Nasioc that "the shop" where Al is tuning is correcting its #'s to mimic dynojets # ....beats me why but oh well...so it is really not a good comparison is it?
FACT: the red car made 316 whp on a Dynoflash mail in on my dyno with stock turbo and 23-24 psi
FACT: the same red car now with the FP Evo Green made 354whp on an Ecuflash at 23- 24 psi
and Merry Christmas to you
I have always read that tuning with the stock ECU with a flash is better than using a piggback. You are saying the opposite. Care to explain why to a newb? BTW I use and Xede.
Are these dyno sheets up on your website yet? And this was an Evo 8 turbo that was changed to an FPGreen, Correct?
Have you been drinking? ....I am sorry but I do not understand what you are trying to say in your post as the grammer and punctuation is terrible.

Andrew, to answer your question about the TME dynoplot I put in this forum, yes, that was on 93 octane alone. I'm pretty sure Shiv sourced my TME from you, and drop shipped it to me if I remember correctly it came from Georgia.
The ECUs reaction to this pre programmed sensitivity is not actual knock or even a less than perfect condition in the map.
As I understand it, the Xede will deaden this sensitivity by 20% allowing you to get a bit more aggressive with timing etc. before the factory ECU pulls in the riens....also the Xede has the ability to move timing a fraction of a degree as oppose to only a full degree in the Ecuflash software...this allows more precise ignition advance
This is what I understand as being the benefits of the Xede over Ecuflash....
I would hope Shiv will jump in to confirm or correct me as this is his forum and he knows a whole lot more about the Xede than I do
Hope this helps

But you are correct it was an 8 turbo and it was switched to a FP evo green
IIRC the only stock configured evo that made over 350whp on our dyno was TedB running a TME, tuned by Shiv and using a healthy shot of methanol...
But as I say.....I could be wrong, I just do not remember...
To answer your question "Is $1700 for 20whp worth it?"...It depends how you lookat it....When we were rallying in the UK in the 80's we would easily spend that amount on a camshaft and tuning time on an old waterbrake dyno to re-jet a pair of Weber 48 DCOE carbs and maybe get 15 whp if we were lucky
....So yes, I guess for me it was worth it..

I am sorry but at Dyno4mance we have now dynoed/tuned over 450 evo's in the past 3 years....I do not remember Supehatches car as making the power you quoted....It seems quite high for 93 oct on a stock turbo

To add to this, yes his methanol controller was messed up, but mine wasn't. The 350 he pulled was using my controller.
As a control, he and I both had 03 TME Evo's with very similar mods, only he had an upgraded BOV whereas mine was stock. During the heat of the day I managed 297hp and he did 304hp on 93 Octane. Pretty much identical graphs but on meth I could only manage 326hp while his upgraded BOV allowed him to run more boost and the 350hp. As an aside, Shiv tuned Superhatch's meth map later in the evening when the temps were much cooler and after I had cut my methanol controller out and wired it into his car. As such, Shiv tweaked his 93 Octane map to 311hp IIRC, due to the 20+ degree temperature difference.
Any way you look at it, this FP Evo Green is adding AT LEAST 30 HP on pump gas alone, with minimal impact on spool up to an already tuned Evo with all the standard BPU's. I'm with Andrew on this one, as I think this finally may be the turbo we've all been waiting for.
