Are the prices here correct? http://www.vishnutuning.com/xflash.htm

Only 349 before December 31 and 399 After?

If so, GREAT deal!

Yes, the prices are correct. We priced the XFlash low since your not actually buying a hard part. The flash is basically a service. But even with the XFlashTuner module, total price is expected to still be below $700.

Shiv:

I realize you're still working out the details. But a couple of quick questions:

1.) Logistics: What would you expect the turn around time to be when we send you our ecu?

2.) Any thoughts to providing ecu swaps, for we folks that use our EVOs as daily drivers?

You and Brett are the best.

Keep the good stuffing coming.

Regards,
JS

Why do you lose torque on the low end? I know... I know... you can't have it all... right? Just curious about the reason.

As mentioned in the other thread, the stock car would knock at 4000rpm, inducing knock sensor activity, making power from 4000-5000rpm very inconsistent and lumpy between runs. I had to adjust timing and fuel curves accordingly to fix this. Cost a bit of torque in that narrow region but I couldn't really help that. This will not be an issue with the 93-94 octane maps which are actually more (not less) aggressive than stock in that region.

Cheers,
shiv

Hi,
1) Turn around time for the reflash will be one day. Just as long as we get the ECU by 2pm, we can ship out the same day as it comes in via next day or 2 day service (whatever the customer is willing to pay for).

2) We will eventually do ECU swaps. But not for a while. The problem with this deal, as we found out with our WRX reflashed ECUs, is that people don't always return their core to us as soon as we would like which holds things up.

Cheers,
Shiv

Lets try that again-

what heat range of plug do you recomend for 91 octane? I recently pulled out my B9es plugs ( 3k miles, no problems ) & put back the stock plugs ( ~450 miles ) based on 98% of the people saying to run the "7" heat range. Within 15 miles of driving 3 x 5 mile stints, my idle speed went from ~950 down to ~700.

I believe this to be due to timing ( globaly ) pulled out due to knock. In this power run posted above, are they stock plugs & will cooler plugs actually help us evo owners out for Ca. gas?

Will you have a flasher/programmer unit that we can flash the car with different maps( 93+, race gas) and then back to stock?

This is for simplicity's sake and to make sure if owners have to go to the dealer they can flash the car back to stock for warranty purposes.

thanks,

Steve

i think that the EVO ECU is custom matched to the Keys. so you have to have the same one go back to the same car or it wont start.

I'm interested. Will the Xflash really help the loping idle on the Stage 1+? I want to go ape**** and buy the cams, but am a little concerned about daily driveability.... Is there still a back order on the 264/272 cams?

Yes it does help with Idle because Shiv can adjust the closed loop maps and control the CEL light not to trigger.

Very nice!!! And Xede to do the rest witch it does very well. With full user tunable control.

I'm excited and can't wait to have cams in my self.
