David I agree on environments impact and also would like to add that every car is different.

I checked with another gauge and saw 20-21psi down to 18-19 psi

Unless yor logging, preferably with a standalone with a map sensor, you don't realize just how off your boost guage can be. My greddy 60mm warning reads above 2 bar at 25 psi...

A standalone has nothing to do with accurate Boost pressure.

Last change made was to return to the stock solenoid to turbo inlet pipe hose, 21 to 18 in 4th approx 1 psi less in 1-3. The bigger diameter (3mm) made boost act quirky and hold 21 psi up to 6.5 K in 4th. In my case not having upgraded pump I felt it was risky.

I know this is a fairly old thread....but my dealership just replaced an apparently "defective" wastegate syllanoid under warranty. I have been getting to approx 17psi max in most situations with it tapering down to like 15 or 16. Is there somethign the dealership could have done to screw up the lines going to the syllanoid or actuator.....would leaving a pill out cause this too happen?

My boost gauge used to read 19 at peak....I replaced the gauge thinking it was going bad. I was actually incorrect...its still reading the same.....my butt dyno seems to agree as well.

I was going to get a hallman MBC pro until i get vishnu's setup, but I wanted to make sure there wasn;t something else wrong with the wastegate system as a whole before I went trying to manually turning hte boost up to 19 psi.

Note: The engine is stock (minus a greddy type s)
