Callin all u EVO's...STI/EVO shootout Oct23rd
 

OK, some of u lame brians already know the skinny...but heres the update on the event....

Sat...Oct 23rd @ Sacramento raceway
Heads up drag racing..NO head starts...NO Brackets...No eliminations...No slow hondas

$35 to race

There are a max of 200 cars allowed to race...and we have 75 spots reserved for our cars..

We will be racing out of LANE 4...that lane is set aside just for us...and maybe 5 if we have enough cars

The officals @ the race track have contacted me and i can tell u they r excited to have our event/group out @ the racetrack.

The fastest EVO and the fastest Subby will both take home tropheys along with other prizes.....

We already have many fast EVO's and some fast STI confirmed to be racing...some of the shop and customer cars present:

LIC motorsports
Vishnu performance systems
Gruppe-S
Performance West
Fine line imports
Plus more ( for some reason some shops did not want their names public??)

There will be alot cars in the 11's...maybe some street cars in the 10's.
And to let u EVO boys know...this will not turn out like the east coast event..as i have made sure that some quick a$$ subbys come out...to give u guys some :shoot:.

Cars should get atleast 7 runs.....most times we have seen people get 12 or more passes

If u ever wanted to meet some of the guys off the forums/see shops or their customers show off their tuning skills/race other fast EVOs or STI this is the time and place.

i guess i'll be there, have an hpde event (aka REAL racing =p) the next day at infineon, so i dunno if i wanna run too many times.

Got about 20 confirmed EVOs as well as that many WRXs. So far.

Should be a lot closer than the East Coast event. We need as much support as we can get!

ATP, Works are you guys coming?? No excuses. It's time to back up your products. ;)

As an former WRX wagon owner, I hope this one is closer than the smashing the Subies got here in the east. Good luck Pleiades crew. ;)

No roll bar/ cage for 11 sec runs or is the 11.5 oem street rule being stretched a lil for this event. Just wondering as in some people w/o the bar/cage might only get one run in and get the boot. Funny how getting the boot from the track is a paradox w/o a roll bar/cage. 11s great but see ya later and don't return unless properly equiped.

Getting booted from a track is like a rite of passage...

Is Easystreet bringing their WRX?
How many stage 2 or 3 EVO'S will be there?

No easy street WRX, but there are some cars comin up from the L.A. and Vegas areas

I don't know the number, but there be will a few stage 2 and stage 3 EVO's


11.50 for a cage...i made four 11 seconds passes there already, without ne trouble.

Rite of passage.LOL. Thanx Mark glad 11.5 rule is being used down there. Down here at Fontucky no dice. I guess it is subjective how they choose to interpret that new rule.
