I'm Rich Biatch!

nah seriously my wideband only goes down to 9.6:1 and that is what i'm hitting daily once i get into boost. if i stay out of boost it'll float around 13-14.x. i never got P0300 codes before now i'm getting them weekly and yesterday i got a P0304 can this be written off like the other P0300 codes or is it more important since it says where the misfire is?

your time and assistance is greatly apreciated.

What is your gap on the plugs? I keep mine at .024 and I am misfire free. Also, why is your timing map zero'd out? Are you running race gas? What size injectors are you using?

you still on V2? I had the opposite(lean) occur when I changed exhaust and added a tubular manifold. I used Shivs write up on how to do a methanol Map to make a table thatthat is pretty right on to richen up my AFR.
I did tons of datalogs with the zeitronix and made changes to my MAP using the table to get the desired AFR. It took like 20 tries to get it where I was comfortable with the results.

What's your mechanical wastegate spring pressure?

jj008, .025-.026 ish. i think shiv tuned my timing through my xedeflash. no race gas. 660 denso

Jorge T, i'm using the most recent V3 firmware. shiv actually did my firmware update while in dallas.

Shiv, i'm using a 1 bar (big blue) spring in a TiAL 44mm V-Band wastegate it doesn't open till around 18-19.

i'm just going to clear the codes and see if they come back, again. i'm still getting the P2263 but it doesn't throw the light i get that one almost daily. oh well...hopefully my $tree will be more fruitfull this year.

Okay... one more question :)

What injector size do you have?

omg... i'm dumb

Ok... by the looks of it, don't be afraid to yank out more fuel from the MAF table. Leave the bottom three load rows unchanged. Just take out several more fuel points above that. Could be as few as 2-3 points. As much as 5-6 points. Just dial it in so your on-boosts AFRs are around 11:1 on pump gas. You will find that you may not have to retard much timing in the timing table since the underlying XEDEFlash adjusts the timing accordingly in expectation of a MAF enleanment from the XEDE.

Shiv could you verify that the above maps are from your dallas dyno day? i didn't make any changes to either of those maps but i just want to be sure.

shiv@vishnu Jul 13, 2005 05:37 PM

They look about right. That is, they represent a conservative starting point.
