Differences between EZ's and the current catless stage 1
Shiv upon reviewing the stage 1 (w/o cat) and Ez's Stage 1+ both cars were tuned on 100 octane but I didnt see a whole lota power given by the cams throughout the curve :dunno: Whats the score is the cat that restrictive? If so find us a 0420 fix ASAP!!
What you you figure the stage 1+ will make on 93 octane on a DD? What about the stage 1+ on 100 octane on the DD? If it doesnt differ from Ez's then the cat blows bad and we need a cel fix |

For some perspective, here is a before (stage 1) and after (stage 1+).

Stage 1+

different axes aside, you can see the 24ft.lb. mid-range improvements (which are no doubt partly due to the XEDEFlash and increased boost there) and on the high-end the car keeps at least 240ft.lb. of torque until 6400rpm compared to 5000rpm with stage 1.

definitely see what you're saying and it would definitely seem like the cat (even the high-flow one i am running) is restrictive!
assuming minimal car variance on 100oct, good for almost 8-14ft.lb. from 3600-6400rpm! next time i'm in the shop i'll submit for a test pipe run to see what the 1+ does on 100oct and no cat |
which model ex system are you running? On the vishnu site, the cats look different beween the std & sig ex systems? Is that true? Do you know for certain what brand/model cat you are running?
|
I am running the signature series exhaust. Shiv, are there substantial differences between the cats?
|
I believe the sig series runs the car sound cat. It looks like the 94109 model, however I dont know for sure. did you do a compare between cat vs test pipe on 91 octane?

Or install the optional test pipe when you go to the track to have some fun.
Shiv,
I assume we can install a switch to go cat-less, in addition to race gas, for track fun? |
is a switched set-up still illegal for road use? (since "at any time" you could be running catless)?
