UR's Blow Through MAF sensor kit.

Would this work on a Stage 1 car or would the XEDE have to be totaly remapped? Looks pretty badass, just wondering.

Thanks for the input.

Yes you will need a full custom tune.

asasin79 Jun 3, 2004 01:28 PM

sorry tony,
have not seen this, but if it does what the name describes you will need a full custom tune. and if i'm not mistaken (having not seen it) it would be easier to damage and clog since it is probably only a stray sensor and wont have the honeycomb infront of it like stock.
you ever get someone to help you with that fuel pump. if not give me a ring.

Could someone show me a link for the pass through MAF?

I'm not sure what the advantage of that system would be other than perhaps allowing the use of vent to atmosphere BOVs. The factory MAF isn't restrictive by any stretch of the imagination. Any other ideas?

We actually agree on something.

are you kidding shiv, what about the ability to run any intake configuration possible with all the stalling issues and so fourth eliminated. Any bov of choice. Way easier to tune characteristics. Only drawback i see is the price..... RRR

If the factory intake isn't restrictive, I don't see what advantage there is to running "any intake configuration." And with the stock intake, you can still run any BOV of choice just as long as keep it plumbed in back into the stock inlet pipe. I still fail to see any real advantages of running a blow-thru MAF.

Shiv, you crazy. You know the MAF is the most restrictive part. I see this all the time on here: Person buys $300 chrome, bling intake. Car keeps stalling. Reason: The blow off valve is leaking of course. Fix: Replace with super bling chrome VTA. Car contiues to stall and run like garbage. Well of course it does. Why you ask? You still have the super restrictive stock MAF. Now that you have spent about a $1000 you have now increased your performance by about 5 hp, but the bling guage (I think Autometer makes this) is off the hook.
