Vishu kits as options on Evo's
If Mitsubishi made a contract with Vishnu (not saying it will ever happen) for using their stage kits as options on the Evo how many people would jump on the chance to get a "stock" evo equiped with a Vishnu kit?
|
Unfortunately, it's just more stuff a majority of the Mitsu mechanics won't understand.
|
It would be awesome. Unfortunately, Mitsubishi won't even warranty most of the cars when they are stock. They always try to blame it on user abuse. This would only make it worse.
|
In my dreams...
|
Yea I know its really far fetched and probably will never happen but just wanted to see what people's opinion would be if by some miricle it did.
|
That would be very nice.

If vishnu parts could be installed by the dealer, that would be unreal... It would give shiv alot more data for his parts and would give him a better chance to release more parts quicker. I think...

IMO this would be totally worth it. Build quality and fitment of the Vishnu stuff is top notch, and assembly is pretty easy (read: your dealer won't muck it up). All you need now is a little Vishnu decal to replace the cheesy US "Lancer Evolution" decal on the back.
Personally I'd also like to see the Gruppe-S center panel with 3 Omori gauges as an option. I've shown my setup to my dealer, and they were like: "man that looks like a factory install and way better than stock" {thumbup} :D l8r) |
Roush is to Mustang as Vishnu is to EVO ?

Unfortunatly the only side effect of dealer installed aftermarket is inflated pricing. Vishnu makes their cut then the dealership makes theirs then they charge for labor. When I bought my si, they offered a jrsc upgrade. It was like 5 grand... plus install...
|
Yea, my dealership offered some nismo upgrades with my car too. But they wanted like a grand more than the actual cost of the item (If I remember right, they quoted something like 2 grand for the nismo catback..)

How that would interface with existing emission control legislation is an interesting question ... |
I'm just saying.. for the extra 3 grand over what it would cost me to do it myself.. they can keep the warranty. 3 grand fixes alot of stuff.

It's not far fetched at all... Look at the relationship between Steeda, Saleen and Ford. Look at SLP and the relationship they had with GM. There is plenty of precedent for it...
work it out Shiv :) |
