SMC stock pump overloaded?

SMC company claims that the flojet pump fitted on the SMC alcohol/water kit are custom modified to handle the necessary demand pressure despite the rating of the pump labeling.

It caught my attention that the rating of the SMC kit pump says 35PSI(2.4 bars).
My system puts over 100PSI at the nozzle, I verified this by placing the pressure gauge one inch from the nozzle and inline with the alcohol steel line.
Anyway, being the pump rating at 35PSI don't you guys think that pushing 100PSI is a bit overloading on the pump?
If I am not mistaking the pump is adjustable via spring that adjust the contators and current flow in top of the pump..
Any comments?

I would call SMC directly and ask them what they think afterall they should know about the pump they put in the kit.

I suggest to get it from the horses mouth, call Flojet to see if it is acceptable to exceed the stipulated rating by 3 orders of magnitude.............. My 0.2 cents

I just can't believe someone did that to your car already. The lettering are about $18. I am really sorry to hear that. I have a spare lancer evolution badging, it is silver/chrome, just let me know, you can have it.

The pump has an overload protection, the motor has a thermal-cut out switch so protects the pump but not sure at what temperature it cuts in.
The pump is listed as an intermittant duty cycle - but no other information regarding the load/temperature rise over time - the shurflo has published such a chart on their specification sheet.
I think most application is intermittant - I can't see you can be on boost more than 10 seconds at a time.

I was referring to driving the car on the public road with traffics - or drag racing.

The only modification i can see to make the pumphead take 3 times the designed operating pressure is MAYBE going to a fiberglass filled/reinforced polypropylene resin...........
