Problem, what setting do I use on the multimeter? I tried a few but none resulted in anything near 4.5. It was like 1.

You want to set the knob to Vdc. There will be two V's to select from. One will have wavy lines next to it(For AC) and the other will have straight lines(DC). You want the V with straight lines for DC voltage. You may have a range button also you'll have to hit a couple times. You can set it by connecting both leads to the battery and hit the range button until you can see ~12.XX Vdc showing up. That will help get the display in the correct range if you've never used it before.

Ok, it registered 5v. I got 3v leds, so the resistor should be 115 again. Now, I was looking at the resistors and there are different watt's, 1/4, 1/2, 1, etc., which do I need? And they only went 100 then 220, so I would need the 220?

And thanks for all your help, I am really lost with this stuff.

Sorry didn't get back to you sooner. You should be fine with a 1/4 watt. As far as what resistor to go with, you can try the 220 ohm. If the LED seems too dim then you may want to check around for a local electronics store that sells a wider range of components. They should have something closer to the 115 you need. And you may find that the 220 works just fine. It won't hurt experimenting as long as the resistor is > or = to what you need.

Thats cool, I can't really work on it during the week, I just want to make sure I have it right and I can just go in and get exactly what I need.

I will try another place for the resistors, see what I can find. Thanks again.

The controller or the tank? Because for the 8's the tank replaces the intercooler sprayer in the front bumper. You wouldn't be able to do that. For the controller I put it in the little cubby on the left, just drill a small hole (1/4" or so) for the wires. I hope that helps.
