Back on topic, TT said that if i disconnect the meth and turn the boost down to stock or even below i will still be running lean due to the removal of the extra fuel which is the 100% meth. Had a feeling this would be the case but wanted to make sure. In other words, for anyone who is tuned for meth and high boost....dont think your safe by turning the boost down and not running the meth.
My situation is I have a Snow Performance meth kit installed and working but do not have a failsafe yet, I was wondering if there would be any harm in disconnecting the power to the pump and control box for the winter months and turn the boost back down to 21psi? The only concerns I have are if I am tuned for 28psi and meth under WOT and now I will have no meth and 21psi will I harm the engine? I don’t plan on ripping the car around 24/7 like this but im sure there will be a couple occasions over the winter I will do some WOT driving. Ive been waiting for Snow to release the new failsafe but there have been delays. Thanks!
Hmmmm.......... I like turtles.
Meth... W/O and lower boost...
Depending on your alcohol to fuel ratio. If Its not too hi and you have an AFC to back your flash. Fuel could be added w/AFC which will also decrease timing a little and allow a soft and safe tune verified with a wide band O2. Todd
