Aquamist Failsafe - Map Switching

Hi All,

I am strongly considering buying an Aquamist HFS3 system, however I have a question about the failsafe.

I know that the failsafe switches maps upon detection of error, however i know that there is an option in our rom called 'Alternate Map Load Threshold'. Will the system switch maps regardless of the load placed in here?

Hello,
Alternate Map Load Threshold is an offset value to be sure that your engine is not hi loaded when you go from regular to alternate maps. It is normally around 100 that means that if your engine is under 100 of Load (no boost) you will be able to switch map. It is an ECU internal failsafe but you still have to wire your own physical failsafe. What method are you using to switch between maps?
You can download my wiring diagram in my install post to get some ideas.
Cheers,

I have my switch point set to 300 load, so it will drop to safe maps if the injection fails for some reason. I've just got my car back from the garage and was testing the W/I, the flow was blocked somewhere and the car dropped back to the safe map, so it works well in this application.

All,I know has been asked more times but I’m confused I find contrastant informations like this thread and the one below regarding the load value in case of failsafe trigged.

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...ther-last.html

I have aem w/m injection ,tephra v7, JOT alt map harness plugged to the ecu to switch between maps(ADCF01) and back to the base map in case of w/m error(failsafe).
my " Alternate Map Load Threshold "is set to 110

When the w/m failsafe will be trigged at WOT (more than 110load) will switch back to base map instantly or only when is less than 110load ?

thank you!

Nobody could confirm if the car will switch back instantly to base map also if the w/mfailsafe is trigged when the load is more than the set on Alternate Map LoadThreshold?
