Alcohol vs meth pros/cons
I know a little bit about meth injection and i know that it can be used to cool the air but also be used to increase the octane. ive heard horror storys about how corrosive it is and how it eats through the best pumps within a year or 2.
Now i have heard that alcohol just cool the incoming air but it does not increase octane or act like a secondary fuel system. its not corrosive because i use it in my grill and spill it everywhere.
what kind of difference is there performance wise?
any other pros/cons that i didnt list?

Denatured alcohol (more or less E98) from the hardware store is really close to Meth. I made 527whp on a customer car recently running it. The only downside I can see is it is more a gallon than meth, but other than that there are only the Pros you would expect...no corrosion, longer pump life, octane increase, extended fuel system, etc.
I really haven’t seen a downside to W/I & yes both will increase octane. Running 100% meth is hard on pumps, although some manufacturers do have pumps capable of handling it, they generally don't advise it to lengthen pump life. To reap the biggest benefit there should be some water in there somewhere, which will also knock down the corrosiveness of meth.
FWIW, I believe the mixture you run should be dictated by the climate you live in. Here in Utah we have very hot dry air in the summer with average humidity around 20%...very different from Florida. I have played with different mixtures starting at 100% meth to 50/50 then 60/40 & 40/60. Of those, 60%h20/40% meth gave me the coolest charge temps at that time. Since then I have upgraded from a pps to a pwm-v system with pre & post turbo jets & started testing again but ran out of 100* days so I have to wait to finish.

yes i saw that thread in the dyno section. that is pretty much what inspired me to research alcohol injection. there isnt any e85 close to me and i live in an apartment complex so storing it is pretty much impossible.
ive made up my mind im gonna jump on board. do you suggest that i tap all 4 intake ports and run it like a direct port setup, or will a single nozzle work good enough?

i've reade somewhere on another forum about this, do you add a gallon of denaturated alcochol to the gas tank on every fill up or do you use water meth injection system to inject the denaturated alcochol?

Regarding methanol, please do not forget that it's highly toxic. Don't inhale the fumes (it evaporates quite easily and doesn't have any detectable smell) or have the meth come into contact with your skin.
