Super Size It! - Aquamist HFS-5 Milo style

Helped my buddy Milo install his aquamist hfs-5 kit, with triple 6 quart tanks. He will not have to fill up for quite a while...so here it is, the 1st official triple tank installation on a Evo IX. Here in Texas, everything is BIGGER {thumbup}

damn dude...you got me beat - 6 injectors, 4 fuel tanks and 2 fuel pumps :lol:

milo Aug 19, 2007 10:36 PM

So nice!:D

Hopefully by the end of this week, I can finish installing the GSC S1 cams, Boost Logics T61 turbo upgrade and the HSF-5. Now, I just need to find a good tuner for my AEM EMS, this time around:p

Thanks Slowcar for you help:beer:

xiaoni420 Aug 20, 2007 05:51 AM

All I can say is wow, you can go the year without refilling, haha. No, jk, you'd be surprised how quickly the methanol goes while consistantly getting on it. But god it's fun {thumbup}

SlowCar Aug 20, 2007 06:07 AM

hes going to run 75meth/25water, thats a savings of 25% meth :lol:

i want to be there to see/hear when this bad puppy gets tuned {thumbup}

KevinD Aug 20, 2007 06:10 AM

wouldn't it be easier to just get a fuel cell :)

SlowCar Aug 20, 2007 06:15 AM

:lol: that will be too easy

most fuel cells take up real estate - these flambeau tanks mount flush to the back of the seats

you doing fuel cell in your setup? :beer:

KevinD Aug 20, 2007 06:17 AM

nope, i'm sticking with one tank. i'm gonna try to hide it though... wont know till i get the car out of my garage first, then i can start on the meth install :)

SlowCar Aug 20, 2007 06:25 AM

:beer:

when you get done, we should have a TX Aquamist Evo gtg :D

How are you planning on connecting the tanks or running meth to the pump? Im trying to figure out how I am going to run my tanks/pump to avoid pump starvation. It would be best for all the tanks to be hooked to each other and then have one outlet to the pump but thats not the way aquamist reccomends. They reccomend putting the t fitting right in the first pump and the running one line to the pump and the other to the other tank...

SlowCar Aug 20, 2007 08:35 AM

you know, i havent thought of it yet.....

i'll prolly tie all the 3 tanks together on a common rail/manifold then "T" it off to the 100u filter then the pump.

Boltz. Aug 20, 2007 08:47 AM

Let me know what parts you are planning to use for that as I am interested. Currently I have 3 tanks myself and I have no clue what the hell I am going to do with them. haha

SlowCar Aug 20, 2007 09:03 AM

:lol:

its blind leading the blind :lol:

eventually you know it will turn out excellent {thumbup}

:beer:

Boltz. Aug 20, 2007 09:07 AM

Im not contesting that and thats for certain. The weird thing for me is all 3 of my tanks are different. Maybe I should just take this to pm because I don't want to thread jack.

With each filled, it should last at least 100 years. Putting a pump in might speed up the consumption a bit.

If you stagger the flanges, you might just fit four tanks in the same space?

Where is the pump going to be?

SlowCar Aug 20, 2007 07:09 PM

directly on the metal floor board...infront of tank #2...pump head facing back of trunk/car

Xfer Aug 20, 2007 07:11 PM

Right in front of the middle tank...tentalively speaking.

Beat me to the answer, Abner! :beer: :beer: :lol:

Whoosh Aug 27, 2007 01:15 PM

Now that the tanks are in there, how do you fill them? It appears that the fill nozzles are too close to the underside of the package shelf to get a spout in there.

Rear speaker has to be completely removed just to get them filled.:( :p :lol:

Actually there is plenty of room to fill these tanks up.....it was engineered in the over all design.
