Abner, where did you find all those spare times? extraordinary car....s

Looks like you guys had a nice little evo party.
I love the way driveways look when they are filled up with Evo's. Including myself there are 4 Evo owners who are all friends and we have a little evo meet anywhere we go together, lol. I like the way you do all of your installs except for one thing. I personally prefer not to see the nozzles or any of the lines in the engine bay. I know you way makes for easier changes of nozzles but I just like the stealth look. Maybe its just so people don't think I have meth or spray when I have to pop my hood for a race. |
deeply appreciated to Abner, Edwin, and ChongYung..thanks guys..
I'll make you guys proud~!! |
Awesome install!!!

It was a fun 3 day event I was there but my evo didnt make the pics :( Abner installed 2 FULL aquamist kits in 3 days, both working and running!!! :D
Tucson has a lot of evo owners we just need to get them to come out!! Way to go Abner!!! Hyunbae, we just need to get you tuned now!!!!;) |

Two comments on your install since this looks like a car that will see track time.
1. When you go on the track (or autocross), make sure to not fill the tanks too full or you will get meth sloshing out the vented cap. I would leave them maybe 2/3 full at most. At the same time, with your low level sensor on the side, you will likely get the low level light flickering and cutting boost in hard corners once your tanks get down to about 1/3. I'm redoing my tank set up over the winter to avoid these problems (probably a fuel cell feeding a surge tank of some sort). 2. Your HSV is in a vulnerable location for heat. Mine was in almost the identical location and the heat killed it in about 2 hours of track time (though it was fine or street driving). Your vented hood might save the day, but then again you have a wrapped header while I have a Swain coated cast manifold, coated turbine housing and coated O2 housing -- i.e., my underhood heat is about as low as it gets for an Evo (with a stock hood). I don't mean to be unnecessarily negative. I'm just trying to alert you to the issues that I encountered once I hit the track, so that you can address them before problems arise. |
