winter use

how many of you dont use it during winter?

This shouldn't be a poll, but an answer to a question that is probably overlooked for us "snowbirds." I would assume it would freeze being mixed with water?

come on its free im not charging a dime for this poll. so go out and vote its your responsibility as an american

In az I do still see the need for it removing it. I usually keep the same mix at 50/50 to keep the water from freezing. I just do a slight retune add more timing less fuel ect ect.

In other parts where its colder I can understand to reduce the jetting size.

I have run it in freezing winter temps of -10*f

At that time I was running 100% meth though.

You can calculate the freezing point of any meth/water mixture. Just make sure that whatever mixture you use has a freezing point below any temps that you will see.

I dont think the freezing is the issue why you would turn it off in the winter. I think the issue affecting of the atomization and condensing so there is uneven distrubution. Since your temps will not be as high less heat transfere to take place so less of phase change from liguid to vapor of the methonal.
any thoughts on that?

Bump. Want to know if meth is safe in the colder climates.

read my post, about 2 posts up. I have used it in sub zero temps.

lemmonhead has a good point about condensation though.
