Most of the JDM exhausts EVO8 will fit our USDM EVO8, but be aware that it might melt your rear bumper by the exhaust tip. Our rear bumper is longer.

I think you should just wait.. better things are to come in near future for our EVO8.

I got the Fujitsubo exhaust from Japan:

I got pull over two weeks ago and the cop gave me a ticket for modify exhaust. The Fujitsobo exhaust is not louder than stock. just quieter than every after market exhaust for EVO !! So I put the stock exhaust back and went to the cop. the cop said that exhaust is not a stock muffer !! WTF ?? I even show him the Fujitsubo in my trunk !! He refuse to sign off the ticket and told me to go to Highway Partrol !! So I went back and take look at my stock muffer and found the Mitsubishi logo and part number under the muffer !! I went back next day and this time is a female officer and sign off the ticket after had me start the car and step on the gas for a second or two !! Can you believe this ??

Lightbulb Modified Exhaust Ticket...

I live in San Diego, and got a ticket for modified exhaust, and thought it was bs. Went home and did my homework and found some info on this Greddy/CHP link about the legality of their exhausts, had an Sp on my prelude.
Greddy/CHP vehicle code, exhaust info

To sum it up, in explains that the only way you can be cited for a "modified" exhaust ticket is for not having a muffler, emitting a clearly harsh or offensive/excessive noise, and defected exhaust (i.e. holes, leaks, etc.)

Basically the ticket is bs. Officers do not have the means to test your car for pollutents or test to see if the noise level exceeds 95dB( a lawnmower is about 93db.) You could easily get out of this citation by showing the officer the different vehicle codes and what they clearly state.

Most cops that hand out these citations aren't even aware of what the vehicle code actually says!!!?!

Hey, are you SoCal guys members or SoCalEvo.net? We have our next meet next Sunday. We'd love for you to come. It's going to be in OC this month.

I havent had any problems with my HKS Carbon Ti. It's pretty loud but it sounds amazing IMO. I let my friend drive my evo down the street yesterday and I never realized how awesome my evo sounds, and looks even.
