I got a speeding ticket yesterday and accidentally signed the wrong box at the bottom, not the section with an X. Will this void the ticket, or does it matter? Please advise.

I live in California, not sure if the laws change by state.

 

not sure how it works in california, but in vancouver, BC... the signature part isn't required..
if its forgotten or left out, it is not void. on the other hand, if the cop didnt sign it, then its void.

 

what signature part?!?!?!? why wasnt i informed about this?!?!?! lmao... here in jersey the cops wont even ask you nicely for your paperwork lolz... and the signature part is not even required...

find a local sub-station and tell them u accidenty signed in wrong spot.. i know of one off arrow drive and one by the animal shelter
