Allison to do warranty work? No, i sure hope not. For christ sake, they cant even remove and replace a stock clutch correctly.....I dont think they should be allowed to do evo warranty work IMHO. Also, anyone know why Allison pulled all the IX's off the lot, and their website?

 

Evo show and shine (w/ car wash) is Friday. A car show for all cars is on Saturday. I'm going to try and make it on Friday, depending on work.

Lots of shavings when we drained it to change the clutch. It has always been hard to get into 1st gear, but I thought the Exedy Twin was just that way so I drove it. When we put the stock clutch back in I thought the problem would go away but it hasn't. Iv've adjusted the clutch multiple times and still can't get it to work correctly. It goes into every other gear fine, it just seems like its partially blocked going into 1st.

Any ideas or is it time for a rebuild?

 

Ive been having this problem with an occasional grinding going into 2 and 3rd. Very rarely though. Ive had it ever since i bought the car over a year ago and almost 17k miles. It hasn't gotten any worse though.

 

Believe it or not with all the work ive had done, ill get an occassional grind goin into 3rd from 2nd. Seems like a common evo thing.

 

You should call shep to get that remedied. I can't believe all the crap you're going through with your Evo.

 

+1. You should have some kind of warranty on it. Also they should pay for the labor if it has to be dropped again.

What time is the event at Allison on Friday? Im really gonna talk to them about replacing or re-clearing my spoiler and see if they'll replace my fading calipers.

 

I think your right. I mine hasnt gotten any worse thankfully, but when i do my big build i think im gonna sacrifice a big turbo upgrade for a shep trans and tcase.

 

Sup peps it greg at allison are you guyz going to show and shine start at 300 to close...pep that need warranty work done you got to let me know before going down to the shop I try to help you with 411.. But some time we have a warranty guy from mitsu crop. That come from L.A and i cant hide thing from him....
Note:::Any warranty claim we have to take pic of engine,vin,Licence plate....
If it tran or t-case you must have a stock clutch.....We have to take pic. of that to..

 

Is the show n shine on friday or saturday? N heard something about a free car wash on friday too?

 

I dont think you will have a problem getting the calipers replaced under warranty.They have done it in the past.
