Anyone been to Allison to see the new X. The MR won't be out till probably May, but they told me that they are going to offer their own limited edition, tuned model sometime in the comming months...interesting for a dealership. The X is a bigger car for sure, has two wing size options now, motor is completey backwards from the 4G...turbo is now on the back side. Has Keyless start and door lock mechanism which is cool. Wing isn't carbon anymore which sucks, and the inside isn't a huge step up. In fact I think I like the IX seats better than the new ones. They have about 4 of them down there that I could see and they were asking 36K and up.

How much to go to the test and tune? Do you need the license? If its too much I may just come and watch with JenX. Always wanted to check out the track.

Glad you had fun snowboarding though. If you still want to try it again after the 1st time you'll love it once you get better . If you ever want to go with me one weekend let me know. I've taught my Ex and still teaching my GF now. It took me about 3 years to get down the green slopes without falling . That was only going 3 times a year though (could only make it out once a year when i lived in GA).

It's 35.00 and no need for a special license but if you are running low 13's you will need a helmet.

I should be able to do that! I also have a helmet as well. If anyone needs a helmet let me know. My friend "owns" racer wholesale (Rhys Millen orders some of his safety and all of his towing equipment from them) and may be able to get us killer deals on helmets, but he may not be stateside for much longer as he's planning on doing a trek across Japan. He got me my helmet for 35 bucks (original cost is 120 bucks).

Do you pay the 35 dollars in advance or at the track?

I'll try to make it out to Fallon as well. I just hate the drive out there.

You pay the fees at the track, no need to pay in advance.

This sounds real fun and I'll probably be taking the family out to this...

Reno Region SCCA members and friends,

It may be cold and snowy, but maybe this will heat things up. On
Saturday, Feb. 16th, you're invited to join us at Reno-Fernley Raceway
for one of our famous Track Tours! Come to the track by 11:30 in the
morning, sign the waivers, and then spend an hour or so sampling several
of R-FR's many road course configurations. All laps will be
speed-limited behind a pace car -- just quick enough to be fun, not
scary. Best of all, it's FREE! Tell your friends, neighbors and
co-workers, too -- this is a chance for people to see what all the
excitement is about, just a half-hour's drive east of Reno. Passengers
are fine, kids can ride along (if they have a properly-executed minor
waiver, meaning a parent or guardian must sign), and any four-wheel
vehicle is okay, including trucks and SUVs.

After the lapping, we'll be headed to a restaurant in Fernley to grab
some lunch. Join us, or, head directly home.

As usual, if the weather is lousy on the 16th, the Track Tour will be
postponed. Back-up date is March 1st.

Reno-Fernley Raceway is located just four miles south of downtown
Fernley. Driving east from Reno, take the first Fernley exit, turn
right, go to the first stoplight and turn right on U.S. Highway
95-Alternate. Head south to the track entrance, then follow the signs
to the road course.

Questions? Need more information? Call (775) 267-1183 or e-mail
jrgandy@peoplepc.com <mailto:jrgandy@peoplepc.com>.

See you on the 16th!

Jim Gandy

Well I already knew the pass was f"Kd. But I was coming from Vegas and there was much of nothing. I'm back in Vegas now, made it alright.

Anyone on here with a TB evo, with 7 tails and a deck lid on the trunk?

It is heavier than stock, but it's not that significant and I can't tell when I'm driving around. Here are some pics that I took from my cell. I'll get the car washed and get some better pics later.

How much do those things weigh?
