About to get my Injen Intake w/ Upper and Lower Intercooler Pipes and Greddy Evo 2 Exhaust. Should I dyno tune after installing it?

Absolutely! Get the most out of the mods.

Well, if you have to get a tune, why would you do it before adding mods?
You will definitely feel the difference.

True. But I'm just wondering if I would feel that much difference if I dyno tune vs not dyno tuning after I install it.

You'll feel a difference with a tune even if you didn't have any mods. Like I said, get the most out of the mods and get the most out of the tune. A little pre-dyno checkup wouldn't hurt either. It'll go a long way toward making the car run smoother and stronger in all conditions.

Alright, thanks for your advice! I just wanted to know if it's worth my money.

You'll definitely be happier with a tune. I got my evo tuned at Fftec and it's stock and wow, it really is like night and day. Now the car has an open element filter and a cbe. I'll probably get her tune one more time when i get a few more parts.

Exclamation HELP!!! Reputable Shop SF/Bay Area

My car kind of took a sh*t last night and today. I was sitting in it last night on my break at work and my car was idling really choppy. The revs were fluxuating and then after a while it just got too low, sputtered and died. My initial thought was that the battery wasn't connected correctly but the first AAA truck driver told me that wouldn't cause a problem like this. He and I talked about how, since it had rained really hard lately, my CAI might have sucked up some water and caused it to act like this so I had it towed to a shop where they took apart the intake, dried it and dried the filter. When I got my car back and drove to my apartment everything seemed fine. However, when I got out of class it did it again. This time I was driving. My car just lost power, kind of picked up again for a little longer and then lost power again. The next AAA guy told me it seemed like there was no fuel pressure so I didn't have enough gas getting to the block.

I don't even know what to think is wrong with it anymore. If it's water it has probably done more damage than I can imagine by now but if it is fuel related I wouldn't know where to start to diagnose it.

Long story short. I need your suggestions on any reputable shops (preferably in the city but I can go out of SF if I need to) that will really take the time to look for what is causing this problem instead of just doing half-*** work. Thanks guys!

Where's Fftec? Everyone here recommended them to me. But I feel more comfortable going to WORKS Motorsports since the previous owner got it started over there.

The exhaust is aftermarket including DP, catback, and it looks like a high flow cat or possibly a test pipe.

Oh yeah, FFtec is in Hayward just off 880. It's only a few miles north of Milpitas.
