Sorry for the late reply man. My car still isn't working after replacing some parts so I'm going to call fftec today and see when I can get an appointment. Thanks for the options!

Well a bit late, but the two places I generally use in El Sobrante town garage (it's right next to where I live) because they are very good about the repair work and they standby their work. They few times where the issue wasn't resolved on the first visit, they have taken care of it for free (not even a parts charge). They are pretty clear about all costs and are very accepting of you getting parts for less on your own and never increase labor if you bring your own parts (a lot of shops make money on parts markup and hate that). The other place I use is WORKS in napa. Yeah kinda far...but they are mitsu experts there. Some jobs that would take 8 hours for a regular mechanic, they can do in half the time because they just know all the little details of our cars.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but just wondering if you found a place in the bay area that tunes with Cobb ap. I will be looking for a tune soon. I know FFTec does not. I know Cobb lists GST Motorsports on their website, but haven't contacted them to confirm yet. Gear performance in Milpitas supposedly does, but they have no website and I can't find anything on them. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Yeah, that's what it is sounding like, but I like the idea of flashing back to stock tune if need be. I'm sure you can do it w/ ECUflash also, but the Cobb just seeeems like an easier tool to get used to. ECUflash and all the tables, etc, seem kind of daunting. Actually trying to read up on Cobb seems a little daunting too. LOL.

The biggest difference is the price. With both options you will pay the same for a pro dyno tune, but ECU flash is much cheaper. Ask the tuner if you even need to buy an ECUflash cable, most of the time they use their own cable.

Bay Area Tuners
I'm new to the community, just bought an Evo X. Was wondering who the best known tuners were in the bay area.
I used to have a Subi and GST was the best around. That the case for Evos too?
