Very true from all the dyno's I have seen. Having a test pipe usually gives people 10+hp over a high flow cat. I was going to do a test pipe, but just the thought of having a bad smell to the car turned me away from the idea, but they do make power.

Why? A stock Evo makes more torque than horsepower. Almost every other car out there has a higher torque number than the horsepower. i.e. Mustang, Viper, Vettes.

You might want to replace your HK$ panel filter with either the stock filter or a K+N. The MAS could be wigging out due to that HK$ filter...just an idea.

hate to be the one to say it......but ditch the P2 and drive to Vishnu for a custom tune or go to Harman Motive and the get the UTEC tuned by him. Clearly your car is "jacked"....the trq is rising FAST, then bam.....it just drops......can you say timing.......

Ok, Here is an update. I found a boost leak, added few parts and had the car retuned with an SAFC2 at tuning technologies and this is what I got.

I added these next

ACT clutch
Halman RX boost controller
Lightened flywheel
Testpipe
720cc injectors
SAFC2
Greddy Front mount
Injen Intake

100 octane

Well, I am getting my car dyno soon and I'll let you know how it goes. Your original mod lists is very much like mine. So, I am hoping I get better results than your original numbers since you had a boost leak, that is assuming I don't have a boost leak also.

Glad to see TT worked out for ya. They are great guys. I am having my WRX dyno'd there pretty soon. Your numbers look pretty good, and I bet it feels faster too.

Attended a dyno day today held at dyno comp in Scottsdale. It was setup by the local BMW guys. Had about 4 EVOs there including mines. That's the most Evo I have ever seen at one place...besides the dealership.

Unfortunately, I didn't get to dyno my car because it wasn't a first come first serve basis. It was all the BMW guys go first and then all other cars. So even if you waited like 3 hours and a BMW guy come in after your 3 hour wait, he will still be ahead of you. So given that case, I got my money back. Well, that will at least let me wait until I get my drop in filter from WORKS before I go dyno again.

Anyhow, a guy running dynoflash, mbc@24psi, intake, TBE at at mix of 96 and 101 octane made I believe 307whp. I really wanted to see what my car would make with the WORKS 340 + HFC + Springs/Retainers. Oh well, maybe next time.
