Croxx Plate II

One of our coolest in house products is the Croxx Plate II. The Mitsubishi EVO comes from the factory with two spindly cross bars tying the front suspension points together. To help tighten up the chassis, clean up the undercarriage and give the EVO that distinctive rally look WORKS has developed and refined our Croxx Plate II. The WORKS Croxx Plate replaces the factory front cross bars integrating them into one solid structural plate. This gives the chassis extra rigidity and prevents unwanted suspension deflection. The result is a car that feels tighter, has sharper steering response and looks top notch. For the extreme EVO owner who likes to get a little air, the Croxx Plate II also acts as a skid plate protecting the vital underbelly of the car. Constructed with 3/16” 6061 aluminum and anodized in Type II clear the WORKS Croxx Plate II is visually attractive as well. Simple to install our kit comes complete with all the necessary hardware, and the Croxx Plate II will clear stock exhaust as well as our Exhale 70mm and 76mm down pipes. The Croxx Plate II fits all ’01-’06 EVO VII/VIII/IX including RS and MR.

If you guys haven't bought one yet, I would say get one. They are super easy to install and has absolutely no fitment issues. I noticed a big difference with mine installed.

Click on the link in Bill's post. You can see the oil filter in upper left of the picture. So, no, you don't need to remove it to change the oil.

+1

The difference I was talking about was in handling. The chassis felt a lot stiffer and handling changed noticeably. I didn't have to turn the wheel as much in a 90mph turn.

You may not pick up on the difference during the install, but you'll notice it if you later run without it

The transfer case and ACD bleed are blocked by the plate, but could still be done in a pinch. It's only five bolts to contend with. (You could even leave one attached and swivel the plate out of the way.) The hardest part of the install/removal is getting under the car

I run this product & like it.... it has also been useful for under body protection.. taken a couple of pretty big licks & still survived.

only downside is weight, but, I dont mind it since it sits so low on the car.... nice piece.
