Why doesn't WORKS produce...

Curious as to why WORKS does not offer an intercooler, licp, uicp, and ss brake lines? There are more but I figured these items to be pretty popular replacements. I also know that there are a variety of others making these parts, but I'd rather run with WORKS, thank you.

I know they did offer brake lines (long story). But, I don't know if the new and improved SS brake lines are out. As far as the intercooler and piping, I don't know. Most of the time they feel the stock piping is very efficient and good quality.

As for the new brake lines- when are you guys going to update the website? I would love to get my hands on a set of these. Thanks.

Piping was prototyped and not much was gained other than some bling. We get virtually the same benefits out of replacing the couplers with the Samco kit. The OEM intercooler is very well engineered and I'd say 95% of the EVOs we encounter don't need anything different. The extra volume of a larger core induces more lag/spool time, which negates the top end gain in some instances. We've done a few installs for customers who've later returned to have the stock unit put back on. There are a few good alternatives out there and if you "need" one, we can get it for you ;)

WORKS does offer our WRP TKS Brake Line Kit. Our site just hasn't been updated to reflect it. Give us a call if interested.

What intercoolers does WORKS recommend?

If it's inappropriate to share --- please PM me!

Going O/T on my topic but would just the 70mm dp+dyno tuning make a big difference w/stock cat and catback?

And yes, I will be giving you a call about the brake lines. Thanks.

We installed the 76mm DP, which was awesome btw. and a perrin test pipe, with stock cat-back exhaust and no flashing either.

There is a nice gain from 5800rpm up (with or without the test pipe) and it spools about 2-350rpm sooner. there is a gain, it was nice, but not enough for me....damn evo parts are expensive....and I'm developing a cat-back system...that is why I haven't done the cat-back yet.

From experience...I can tell you that a cat-back exhaust is a great mod for the evo's. Its like coffee for the evo... =)

All in all... The DP IS worth it. You might not feel as much power as you expect. (works told me that there would be no gains until I did the rest of the exhaust.) For the most part they are right, its setting up for the whole exhaust, not doing much on its own, but it does add a little volume behind the turbo so it spools a bit easier.

I wouldn't waste my time with the 70mm...get the 76mm. its more scalable(for future mods) and its big....that's what you want too.

Good luck

Dustin
