Our Sportback

Up here in Canada, I was told by the local dealer that the Sportback was only imported to Canada for 1 yr---2004 , until 2012. In our town there are only 4 Sportbacks, they're somewhat of an oddity...

Very few here... however, with the newer models, the numbers are growing. We purchased it with 110K km and it now has 160K km(100K miles). The only problem we've had was the rad fan controller...

7 more years...

I use the auction site on Brave Auto, the latest CT9W on the block is starting at just under 300,000¥ or about $3,000 cdn, that's for the less desirable automatic 5-speed. I think would bid as high as $8,000-$10,000 for a clean car with less than 100,000 kms.

Type CT9W Year 2006 Scores 4.5 Start price 280 000¥

Mileage, km. 81 000
Transmission FA
Displacement 2000
Result available
Color SILVER
Equipment AAC AW PS PW

Noooooooo, not the IS300! Lol, my whole Mitsubishi introduction was because we gave up our IS300 back in 2004, and ended up in the Mitsubishi lot and saw one of two Sportbacks they had on the lot. I was sooooo disappointed to give up the luxury and power of the IS for the 162HP of the Lancer. Those IS300 engines are something else, and when turbocharged I've been told they're even crazier. Now, though (nearly ten years later), Ive got back the power that I once had...and then some!

...another tidbit

I read that the stock speed limit of the IS was 143.3 so I verified it in California coming down the mountain from Tehachapi...sure enough, the needle started bouncing right around there!
