running it will only cause lean spots which will hurt stock performance.

tuning for the bov is your best bet if you NEED to run it.

www.ultimate-racing.com has the bov and a conversion kit.

running a bov on the stock tune is fail.

Pointless and hurts performance. It makes the sound of stupid if its not working the way it should. i.e. not hurting performance.

I've got a SSQV V1 recirc on my RA. Been running for about 6 weeks with no hassles (no retune).
You get a nice flutter through the factory airbox. I can only imagine how nice it would sound with an aftermarket CAI

For the guys that are recirculating...

Did you guys use a kit? or did you guys use custom parts to recirculate?

I'm looking to buy the recirc kit from lancershop.com but it says its for the Evo X.

Has anyone used this kit to recirc?

Thanks in advanced

That kit doesn't look like it comes with the base adaptor (only comes with the recirc part).

If I were you I'd just buy the 2 parts seperately. You'll need:

HKS 29mm recirc adaptor
+
Aftermarket 34mm base adaptor for HKS SSQV

That's all I used and mine's fine. Cost me about AU$55 all up.

running in recirc is a good idea, and it would sound nice with the UR intake.

The flutter you hear is compressor surge, and its very bad..

Good luck with your future repairs.

Thanks for the info.

Do you know where I can purchase those two?

Yeah I'm sure it'll sound nice with an intake but I don't want to bother with tuning after the SRI... I just went with the HKS drop in filter

Would this work?

http://www.erzperformance.com/Produc...de=71002-AK004

It says ID hose not included... What does that mean?

Also for the base adaptor.. I think the base adaptor is included in the SSQV I purchased from Ultimate Racing.

http://www.ultimate-racing.com/Produ...9_BOVKit.shtml

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Thanks
