EVO 9 Flash results

Wow, these cars rock.
This EVO 9 is completely stock, not one modification.
stock is was laying down 261-262whp and 255-256 ft-lbs of torque.

With just tuning power jumped to 292whp and 293ft-lbs of torque!!
Boost spikes to 1.4 bar dropping to 1 bar by redline.

So here are the stats

HP before and after
262whp, 292whp after(30whp gain at peak)
256tq, 293ft-lbs after (37 ft-lbs gain at peak)

These results don't tell the whole story tough. Playing with the Mivec timing brings the turbo on boost quicker, and gives more power and torque in the lower to mid RPM range. Out of the 5 EVO 9's I've dyno'd I see a power dip around 7200rpm. With tuning this dip goes away and at 7500rpm I was making about 40whp more over the stock ECU program at redline.

That was just a BONE STOCK Evo 9 being Flash Tuned?
No bolt-ons at all, "MBC or K&N drop in filter"?

Thats off the hook, "awesome"!

These numbers are very consistent with IX tuning. I just got back from MZM in Austin TX where I had a hi flow cat and catback installed. The car was dyno'd first with just the mods and then after the owner, Mohammed did an EcuTek Flash.

I ended up with a gain of 38.1 HP and 36.4 TQ with peak HP hitting 500rpm earlier and peak TQ hitting 750rpm earlier!

I posted the dynosheet under a thread entitled:

My 2006 MR dyno tuning results....

if anyone is interested in taking a look.

These cars are great!

Tony

Completely stock as it came off the showroom floor.
Stock boost was 1.3 dropping to .9 bar. The only thing I changed was raising the boost by .1 bar (1.4psi). Stock it would spike to 1.3 bar and drop to .9 bar, now it spikes to 1.4 bar and drops to 1 bar.

Martin - Good job, as always!

PS - Always remember to use "soapy liquid" when applying AMS decals or logos on shop vehicles
