Evoscan Logs

Hi,

I did some testing logs with evoscan; from the evoscan menu, load logs I can see them on the folder, but when going directly to the folder in windows, they are not there! only the 2 sample logs

I want to open them directly with excel, but they are nowhere to be found

why? what can I do?

Thanks

SAS mode in evoscan v2.8

how do i get into sas mode? I've been going through all the menus, and all i'm really seeing is different ways to log, etc. I'm looking to adjust my BISS, and was told the only way to do this and make it work effectively is while in SAS mode.

Thanks for the help! Also, i know there's a good link to ecuflash guides, but I haven't seen one for evoscan...if you can toss a link with a how-to thread, etc. that would be awesome as well. I've seen ones for logging, but nothing else...

you need to go into the menu section that says "actuators". and scroll over until you see SAS. make sure the coolant temp is above 176*F and that nothing is on (heat, AC, ect) before you try to set it.

not seeing that menu option. do i have to actually run the data logger first to get that to show up? I'm assuming it's not there when you just open the program, as i've gone through every menu pulldown and haven't seen an actuator option...

you do have to connect the datalogger to actuate the SAS solenoid.

from memory, if you're on the main EVOScan screen I think its the button on the bottom right corner that brings you to another menu with a bunch of buttons. the 'acuator' button is in the top row, center, but more towards the left. When you press that you'll have to scroll over to get the EFI actuators. from there its the one all the way down the list at the very bottom. I wish I brought my car to work today, if so I would be able to tell you exactly where it is.

bump any help would be greatly appreciated. is it because of 2byte vs 1byte loging? i'm using the base tephra v7 map for an evo 8 on MAF.

If you're on v7 then you should be logging with 1byte with a scaling factor. 2byte doesn't exist/isn't necessary with v7. And check your baudrate too.

how do you change the byte logging rate? is it through the 2byte to 1byte load factor table? if so, mine is currently set at 1.2..... also, what should the baud rate be in evoscan? thanks

The baud rate comes standard at 15625...make sure that whatever load factor you are using in ecuflash its the same in evoscan (so since you're at 1.2 make sure your rom has 1.2 load factor)
Also, did you copy in the necessary info in your evoscan's data.xml?
Make sure you have the correct MUT address to be able to log 1 byte load too...all that is in the instructions when you download the Tephra rom.

Cannot Read From EVO x GSR with SST

I read mainly all exesting threads on evolutionm and other websites to see what my problem was and tried everything with No Luck.

I live in Doha, Qatar. I got a brand new 2009 EVO X with SST Gearbox. It has only 10K on it and never been tuned, also never been services outside the dealer.

I got the Openport 2 from Tactrix and the Evoscan software. it is working fine and was able to log all the data.

But when i tried downloading the ROM on my laptop using ECUFLASH i always got unknow error.
At first it says that it was locked and i used the unlocker. Now it is not saying that it is locked anymore and still have the unknow error.

Saw your thread about bad connections, low battery voltage and all of that, and did everything mentioned there and still have the same issue.

I did a print screen for the log if you can take a look at it and tell me what the problem is.
