Can I set the base SD tables easier and faster in open loop mode with DMA and checking the wbo2 ? If the wbo2 show 14.7 on idle and cruesing on different rpm in open loop than the fuel trims shoud be right in closed loop too ?

Not sure if anyone will find this useful, but I always struggled w/ figuring out how to convert vacuum to kPa. I attached a PDF w/ a quick reference (assuming 14.7 atmospheric pressure). I have it scaled for a 4-bar.

Step 6a: tip-in/low rpm lean-out
A common problem that you may come across is the car wanting to run lean during initial TPS tip-in. For me, this occurred mostly at low rpm (1000-2000) and is induced while either lugging the car in traffic, or leaving from a stop. I found the solution by tweaking two tables: Asynch_vs_TPS (under global fueling) and your Fuel maps (don't forget the alt maps if you're using them). Bumping Asynch_vs_TPS by 10 units across the board is where I ended up, and richening up the AFR in areas around 80 load kpa from 1000-2250 a bit (with smoothing) made a world of difference for me.

I cant seem to find this table in 94171715, is there a way to add it?

I was picking through this thread, and saw these last 2 people asking...mine has the following in it, my 9417 that is.
Code:
<table name="Asynch_VS_TPSDELTA" scaling="uint8" type="2D" address="38a2" category="Global Fuel Settings" level="2">
   <table name="X" type="Static Y Axis" elements="9">
      <data>0</data>
      <data>1</data>
      <data>2</data>
      <data>3</data>
      <data>4</data>
      <data>5</data>
      <data>6</data>
      <data>7</data>
      <data>8</data>
   </table>
</table>

How do you get to the Asynch vs TPS table in Tephra V7 88591715? Is there a table I have to add?

Trying to get some tip-in lean issues sorted out.

I'm not sure, i haven't seen the XML for that rom ever. FWIW it didn't fix anything for me, and messing with the VE tables was the ultimate answer. I suggest going that route

^^ same, TPSdelta didn't fix my issues, somewhat masked them...but didn't end up actually helping, just confusing. VE vs kpa was "the shiz".

I didn't check the Tephra v7 post, but that would be where I'd assume the latest XML would be.

Ok, can somone clarify for me: Im using sd2.0 but I dont think its any different: My tephra fuel maps are hitting 300 load @ 20 psi, what direction do I need to change the SD VE mapping aka KPA to load? Do I need to decrease the load value to make the same load as before @ 20 psi? load on maf before was lower.

I read the whole post incl the 2.0 thread, and Im not really comprehending what if any needs to line up to KPA/load.

Under Speed Density Tuning... I have the following...
SD MAP Sensor VE and Calibration
SD RPM VE
SD Set Baro Value

What is this VE vs KPA you speak of?

WHen I open the first one I mentioned above, there are two columns with the same number of rows... one is MAP/Kpa and other is Load %

Is that the one I have to mess with to get the Map sensor to read a certain Kpa so that it gives fuel quicker during less load? It may be shifted/off/skewed. I'd imagine I only need to mess with the first 2 or three from the top down (less load) because anything passed 2k rpm, while passed 15% throttle, the car is fine.

Let me know! Many thanks,

SD MAP Sensor VE and Calibration (the 2 items are load and kpa, and the table is a correlation between the 2....that's where I got my made up name for it, I know I'm adding unnecessary confusion, sorry about that.)

Is anyone logging IAT with the GM IAT sensor and Evoscan 2.8? Running it through the 0x0E Fuel temp ADC. Is there something that needs to be added to the .xml or simply changed in one of the definitions in Evoscan.

Can someone please explain how to run SD
without GM IAT and using fuel temp instead
I have Omni 4 bar installed ready
I,ve searched and could not find process
Thanks

Make sure under speed density programming the field sd option: IAT input - is set to 0x0E, this ensures that the ecu is using the fuel temp.
