It sounded like your were comparing 9653 to 96940011, the orginal 05 ROM.

I was comparing 9653 to 9417 on an 05.

Also, I wasnt comment on teh issue appauldd was having.

Just the better smootherness of 9417 then 9653 on an 05.

The rev limits are working for me on my 03. Idle is not quite as smooth. No BISS adjustment.
Yet to experience the throttle hang...yet. Made changes for that here

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/7859772-post410.html

This is really wierd. Appauldd I would be curious to compare your rom to mine. I will PM you my email.

Isn't the V6 based on the 9653 rom?

I am having no issues with V7 in my DSM. If somebody were to have problems you would think its the amish mechanic putting ecu's in a car made 2 decades ago.

As for the "issues" being small, yes they essentially are. The thing is that "issues" continue to come up. I am just getting tired of working to solve the "issues" all of the time. I want to work on tuning my car rather than fixing problems.

It does seem that 03-04 VIIIs see the majority of the problems with v7 9653. I would assume it has to do with the difference as mentioned above.

If all goes as planned I should be able to do everything that v7 9653 can do here soon.
Whats your email I'll send it to you.

Apples to oranges here. How many periphery are turned off? How long did it take you to get the car to run flawlessly? Will you pass emissions??

Anyway.....

I am really just looking to get some addresses for the tables in the OP.

1. Stuff turned off that my car doesn't have (like rear O2 sensor).
2. Car has ran better than stock ecu since day 1.
3. Yes I got my emissions sticker last year and will get another this year.

I think you just need to spend a little more time with the rom. My friends 03 evo is having no problems with V7 and travman is having no issues with the evo 8's he has used it on.

maybe i can add in my experiance with SD on a 2003 evo8.

i have not had good luck at all with it other then WOT. my issues are

1. idle is 2k to 3k all over the place
2. when i am trying to leave from a stop it go's extremely lean and brakes up until it gets past 4krpm. if i am on a hill the car will NOT make it as it just cuts out. i cant even get up my driveway.
3. when driving and maintaining speed the car is very rich. 10.8 11.2 area

i have done boost leak tests. i have no leaks. i have changed and replaced sensors and that did not help. i have the AIT and Omni 4 bar map sensor.

my intake manifold is Driven Innovations with AIC and a hypertune 3.0 TB.

Sorry to hear Paul, I know it has been a little frustrating for me as well, but everything has been fine for the past couple of months, minus the rev hang that I just fixed...

But just to let you know....IT WORKS PHENOMENAL ! !

If I can get the rest of the addresses in the OP, I believe I have 94170715 100% operational.
