Hi folks,

is a lot of time i'm going to tune my evo and with stock roms there are no problem at all.

I'm using ecuflash 1.42 (latest version) and i have a edm evo ix gsr with exhaust and other minor stuff.


I use tephra v7 often i have a issue that make me crazy.


First of all i like more the 88590715 than 88580714 cause the first is more improved and more features are avaiable.

So on my car i tried 8859xxxx and 8858xxxx both.


I download it from the official tephra v7 3d

and about 8859 there are 2 version ,you know better than me

The first is

and the second is

which was made by recompile and also it has his properly xml file.


My car has 006c hex imm code and 9201 imm code , i know it sure cause the stock rom works great and crank.


I usually have to put on openecu definition evo folder only the xml version of the rom i'm going to use.

So if i look for the recompile mod i put on the folder its xlm file.


Well i change the imm codes hex and imm code and flash the car.

FIRST PROBLEM
Sometimes car starts! other times it doesn't starts! i don't know why!

I try also to disable imm using bit 3 of faa to 0 but it doesn't work!!!
Idea: fuel pump pin on ecu not the same?
SECOND PROBLEM
If the car starts for i don't know which cause, and i have to tune my car and for example:
i download the tune from car ,save it as with another name and reflash into the evo, car won't start!
Putting stock rom into my car, evo recrank and all work ok!

I'm going crazy , i read a lot of people running 88590715 on edm car,if is not compatible with edm ecu but why sometimes it cranks and sometimes not?


This evening i discovered that:

If i compare my stock evo rom vs 88580714

ECU Periphery00 Hex 0004
ECU Periphery0 Hex 56DA
ECU Periphery1 Hex 0009
ECU Periphery2 Hex 89DF
ECU Periphery3 Hex 4290
ECU Periphery4 Hex 0000
have the same value .

Instead if i compare my stock rom vs 88590715 by recompile or not

the value are different.


Can be that this bits are the cause?

I use 8858 on my USDM ecu. I'm on the road right now but I will try to elaborate on my experience tonight.

I pull a couple dtc's that I don't on my native 8859
