Cutch Assembly: OEM Throwout Bearing vs. Push Style?

Well, my clutch is pretty much done (OEM) and I want to purchase either the Exedy twin disk HD or the Tilton Full cerametallic twin plate clutch (which comes with a push style clutch disengagement assembly versus the OEM throw out bearings, from Buschur). AMS sells the Exedy twin HD clutch with either the push style or throwout bearing for the clutch disengagement. What are the advantages and disadvantages for each? I plan to do NASA type events and the car will eventually have about 450-500whp.

Link to AMS’s push style clutch: http://www.amsperformance.com/store/...oducts_id=1900

Thanks

the only real advantage is that you dont have to worry about the retaining clip popping out when shifting fast.

some people can have this problem regularly, some people never had this problem

Why spend ~$800 on top of the cost of a twin disk for the push style conversion when you can go with a Quarter Master twin that comes with the push style conversion for under $1500? That's what I did. Installing the clutch this weekend.

Push style clutches are said to have more positive engagement, be more reliable, and easer to change (don't have to release the clutch fork/TOB).

Check out spec clutches too;http://www.specclutch.com/ some great stuff from them, already push type...
