The eighties F1 cars ran up to 80 psi boost. Even with the carbon composite technology in it's infancy, BMW and others ran carbon fiber intake plenums. The airboxes didn't blow up.

Benefits of carbon intercooler pipe? You could do really gradual, flowing curves, the pipe shape could morph from round to other shapes and retain the same cross sectional area, carbon (post intercooler) would absorb less heat from the engine bay among other reasons. Aluminum end fittings, like Wiggins connectors, can easily be bonded to carbon (like carbon driveshafts)

If it is don properly it will hold boost, proper composite parts are stronger than metal parts if properly laid up.

I guess to just save weight and look good in the engine bay, and to be different.

"why" do I need a 600+ HP car??? I don't need a lot of things, just like to do them lol

one piece may have too much flex/twist of engine and break?
especially with High HP levels that you have.
overall a very cool idea coupled with a CF intake.

My 01 m5 had dual carbon fiber intake pipes, in 02 I paid 1999.00 plus tax for the set.
It will be expensive.

You guys are associating this with crappy fake carbon fibre pieces, if this is properly made it would be very strong and durable.

IMO it can deffinitly be done. Years ago a company called "ENDYN" used to make carbon fiber intake manifolds for Honda applications if intake manifolds can be made to hold why not intercooler pipes...The only thing that needs to be figured out is the clamping area.
