WTF !!!Battery problems!!

I have a mini Battery from a local shop called. I've had this battery for a year now and no problems at all. Lately when I wake up in the morning the battery has no charge and the car wont start. after I jump start it I drive anywhere without any problems , After 4 hours without using the car the battery dies again. I know the alternator is not the problems because when the battery is dead I pusht he car put it in 1st gear and dump the clutch and it starts and the battery charges up, after a few hours is dead again . What mini battery are you guys using? Has anyone been through this ?

Your battery is junk, either try and get yours covered under warranty or buy a new one. Oddessey PC680 and Genesis EP16 are the common Evo mini-batt choices (I think I got the part codes right at least). Both are made by the same company, but even though the PC680 is slightly stronger the EP16 seems to last longer. Both perform flawlessly even during cold Minnesota winters with cams, large injectors, etc.

Yea, PC680 is a good choice. Also make sure the battery terminals are torqued properly, otherwise it'll die quickly!

I've got the pc680 as well, it's about 2 years old now. Only problem I've ever had was about 3 weeks ago, car sat for 2 weeks in 30deg weather. Couldn't even roll it off, it was dead dead. Had to jump it off, but after a 30 min. drive, it's been fine since.

Just use the solar battery charger during the winter months. I don't need it when the weather gets warmer. I prewired it into the car and when not in use, I just disconnect it and tuck the harness connector away.

+1 on the torquing. just make sure not to over torque them. the terminals will break loose from the battery if you over do it.
