questions about tcases and drive line.

ok well first off ill give you a little info on the car. I have a 2003 evolution that I recently bought and got totally ****ed over but now im stuck with it so I am trying to fix it up as I go. well my first problem that I need to get fixed is the transfer case. mine just started to whine. I was wondering if the evo 7 tcase will bolt up to it instead of the 8 cause the 7s tcase is way cheaper. also I know mine can be rebuilt but I don't have the 1k to drop on the case at the moment. so if anyone has a good 8 case for the cheap id appreciate it. second off when I drove the car befor I found the tcase issue. it would studder between 4500 and 7k rpm. like it would almost sound like it wasn't getting enough fuel. so I changed out the injectors to 760's and installed a apexi safc II on it. I have the safc tuned for the car now but now at idle it wont rev above 4500 it sounds a lot like it has a 2 step. but I believe its a stock ecu. I haven't gotten to drive it yet but It still is a little strange to me. befor it would rev all the way through the rpms. any help would be greatly appreciated. it has a stock turbo, a greddy type rs bov. the 760 injectors, and full 3 inch exhaust from turbo back. it only has one o2 sensor as well and its the one in the back.

Evo7 only came in JDM version and therefor it's on RHD. The T-case is "opposite" of the USDM Evo8/9. The is the case itself. Internal parts should be the same including the LSD, ring/pinion.

Put it on youtube and link to it here.

For your tcase, all three of the shops you mentioned are reputable and have experience working with our tcases. You shouldn't have any trouble going with any of them.

Evo7s came in LHD and transfer cases between LHD and RHD are the same. Some evo7s transfer cases came without ACD, I believe it was the RS models.
