Whoosh...just a quick question...maybe a bit naiive of me but..
You know you have no heatshield on your manifold, does that cause any problems? i.e. with the paintwork? I would like to take my manifold heatshield off, but I'm a buit worried about it. There's also a cable attached to the standard manifold...how did you deal with that?

I'm not sure if anyone that has headers is able to put a heat shield on their manifold. There's no way to make that work. The maniflod sits directly below the hood vent so no problems with the paint. Your heat shield is there for a reason, I see no reason to remove it. Upgrade yes, remove no. The cable you speak of is the o2 sensor, You can move that if you wish, but why?

Thanks for the info.
I'm just really interested to see the manifold glowing through the vent in the bonnet . It'll probably be only off for a few days, until I get bored of that.
