I safely ran 205/40 17 on my 17x9 +35 rpf1s. Not that bad of a stretch. But that was also on a 2011 civic si.
My fiancé has 215/35 18 on her 18x9.75 on her bagged tsx
I I'm not saying I'm against stretched tires, due to I have also had 10.5s with 225/35 19 and 11.5s with 245/35 19. That was pushing it and did 225/40 on my 19x10.5/111th at were on my ccws on my Evo.
I will say I wised up and went with a real tire. More pleased with a big tire over stretched for my Evo. Much more drivability

Does everyone on this forum hate on everything that's different? I am not trying to be a douche or cause a fight or anything, I asked a question but only one out of the three people that responded actually answered my question. Thanks S.Brewer appreciate it.

its not that big of a stretch though its an inch. its not major. I have seen a 205 on a 10 before...of course it wasn't on an evo

What most hate is the fad of a stretched tire that does nothing for performance on a vehicle that was built for performance. A slight stretch (I run that) is not a big deal but what you are talking about borders on being unsafe on the street.
Plus lets be honest its a fad other car makes that aren't as purpose built started and does nothing except scream look at me.
No one is saying you car has to be a track monster....mine is far from it. Some of the wheel setups in this thread are just beyond logic.
